Reporting from Oklahoma!
Well, I can see that lots has been happening while I've been away! I'm glad Grandma was feeling well enough to travel...Not glad that Aunt Joanne got away before I returned home. What does it mean that the Uncle George's job is "in the wind?" Ummm??? They are moving? :) Not moving? :(
I have been having a great time in Tulsa. It is MUCH prettier than I ever thought possible. There are lots of hills and trees and horses and...it's really nice. We made it from Florida in two days with all four dogs, the cat, and the bird. They are all settled into their new home...which is also very nice. There are deer that come every morning and every evening because the former owner feeds them (he moved next door so he is still doing it here). There are about 7 birdhouses hanging from the tree right outside the back windows. There are hummingbirds and cardinals, and some bright yellow and black birds that come to visit. The two squirrel feeder attract some attention too. The sunroom looks out onto all of that and up the hill...which is bordered by the farm of Garth Brooks.
Today we went about 1/2 an hour away to an amish farm and bakery...can't wait to try the cookies we got. Tomorrow we are going to go to Grant Lake which is supposed to be pretty. We decided to spend a few days sightseeing before I go home to enter into the caos of the new school year. Nancy also wants to go to a "cute little town that everyone says is a great place to visit." The name...Branson (sp?), Missouri. Isn't that where Brian Castle and family live? If so, is it really "cute?"
Well, it's getting late, so I've gotta run. Hasta la vista! :)
