DRAMA: The Wedding Vs. Wilma
So here we are in South Florida waiting to see if Hurricane Wilma is going to ruin our plans. At present, she's packing 155 mph winds, down from 175 earlier today. A full-blown cat 5 storm - the strongest ever recorded in the Atlantic. So we're wondering: do we cancel the wedding and re-schedule it for another time? Do we evacuate the Polaceks and Grandma to Wellington? Do we board up? Do we take our planned vacation days or do we go in to work? Do we keep our hair appointments? HIGH DRAMA! Stay tuned........Daniela and Sean will make a decision on Thursday whether to postpone the wedding. The suspense is killing me.
Meanwhile, the important thing is, the World Series starts Saturday night.

If there were ever any doubt it is now and forever eradicated. I am NEVER moving to South Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana nor the Texas Gulf! I have friends up here who buried their father and now can't fly their mom back home due to FL weather. Hey! when you all moving back north?! Much Good Luck on the wedding. : ) V
We are going to assume that the wedding won since there aren't any posts from anybody today...you must all be getting ready. :)
Yes, it's now Saturday afternoon. I went to get my hair done, when a wedding party of women arrived - it was Dani, Megan, Katie, Mirella, and Laura (from Ocala). They were all getting up-do's!!! What a coincidence... The weather is almost sunny - no sign of a hurricane yet. But it's supposed to be coming as a Cat 2 on Monday sometime. Time enuf for Sean and Dani to get on their plane to Colorado (where I've heard it's snowing!)
Then after the hurricane, they tell us we're having our first cold front, which makes it the kind of weather we moved here for. BTW, Valerie, I think a wind storm once in a while is not much worse than the blizzards that plague the midwest every once in a while! Or worse yet, the 26 degrees below zero that happens occasionally! Hmmmmmm........
