We had an ice storm here a couple of days before Christmas. I took some pictures out my bedroom window and Valerie took some as we attempted to drive down the road to run some errands.
Jean Lambert says after looking at the pictures, "Thanks for the memories! Now I'm gonna go lay in the sun." Somehow it's beauty can mask it's danger , no?
Yes, we had to drive rather carefully for several days. The roads were very slick, and there were plenty of crashes. After the storm the temprature went down so much that salt would not even melt it to then it took days to clear up.
But, yes, it was beautiful. Everything had a crystaline glow, appropriate for Chirstmas. One of the many joys of living in the Midwest.
