Jay told me today that he went and took the MEPS in Miami. He said that the doctor gave him a lung test and found no asthema. The results have been given over to the recruiter and then things should get moving. He said that if all goes well he expects to report on September 11th.

Jay a Marine, or not?

I have not heard how it went to for JB today at MEPS. Is he going to be a Marine or not?

That really was not too long a tour of duty overseas. And he is back safely. He has the week off to settle in to his new apartment and get back to normal.

You poor girl!. Carloyn, you are running around every weekend, it seems. I hope you do get some time to relax once in a while, maybe go to Florida and enjoy the sun....wait!....you are in Florida....maybe you need to come to Indiana and relax, sit by the lake and take in some Chicago sights.

Anyway, Love You, Carolyn!

Hey Carolyn.
You did great. I realize that maybe it was a little difficult to log in when you forgot your password, but it gets easier as you do it. And you did have things to say. It told Joanne and me (who are remote) that you are having people over for dinner, and that you are celebrating Jean's Birthday a week late or so.

Say "HI" to Maureen and George and everyone for me. Tell them I miss them all and that it is good to hear that they are all getting together. Better yet, show them this blog thing so they can see it for themselves. And also show them my blog and let them know that they can make comments there.

The blogger is a fine idea, please don't think I'm apathetic. Just don't have anything to say of any interest. I'm not really into the e-thing. But I think it's a great place to keep everyone posted about stuff. The only thing is, I can only blog about myself, because it's not my business to post everyone else's business. And there ain't that much to say about me. So there. And I even forgot how to log on since last week when I set up my password etc. I had to go thru a lot of commotion to find out how I had signed up.

Planning on having a family dinner w/George on Sunday nite at my house. Maureen plans on dropping by, too. And we're celebrating Jean's B'day.

I’m on a civil case which will last 2 weeks, and today was the plaintiff & defense Opening Statements, and the first expert witness’ video. So far, I’ve spent 2 solid days there, yesterday being the world’s longest day, as they excused person after person. I was too dumb to think up some outrageous story to get myself out of it.

Meanwhile, George flew down to FL to take a course at Nova Univesity which qualifies as a Personal Development unit for teaching, one of Becki’s fellow senior girls’ fathers passed away, and his memorial service was this afternoon, and teachers are made because their award certificates aren’t ready for tonight’s athletic cheerleading banquet! And that’s just for today! Ugh. But I’m going home to be w/Becki right now, because that funeral service brought it all back to her about her Grandpa dying, and this girls’ Dad used to come to all the volleyball games. I suppose Becki was also secretly thinking about if this had been HER Dad, as well. She’s at home and I’m here, so I’ll talk again when I get back to the computer. I haven’t got one working at home right now. Only Becki’s is up and emailing, etc.

Hope your job search is progressing. Why not throw caution to the wind, and go stay with Mom for a while, to get some perspective on what direction might be the best one for you, personally? You have brains, talent, education, a degree, and only bills left! I’m personally lacking in several of those areas! Love you, and don’t want to wait till your funeral service to tell you posthumously, for sure. This man’s Mom, 2 sisters and 1 brother avoided visiting him for the 35 years since Vietnam that he lived in Alaska. Their admissions of regret really hit many people hard.

I think you have always been a faithful friend, a loving and supportive brother, and someone I can be proud of in terms of things Dad always displayed for us, like honesty, loyalty, faithfulness to God, and intelligence. I want the best for you in life, and I thank God you have placed your life in His hands, so that I’m sure of your eternal life. May God and you work together to provide for your family and yourself, as this is what God would want you to do. My only personal advice would be to simplify all of life right now so that there’s not so much to cope with. At any rate, you know I love you and I wish I had a million bucks to share with you! Instead I just say invest in God and He’ll figure out the proper returns! Love, Joanne

Well, so far Carolyn is the only one to sign up to be able to post here. It looks like my efforts to promote family unity are to no avail. Maybe I am a voice shouting in the wilderness. Or maybe I have not made it clear to people how easy this thing is to work. Let me know.

Also please visit my personal blog at Intriguing Ideas. And the one I am working on for the Church at Reunion Church.

Greetings on Good Friday! I am never sure how to say that, do you say "Happy Good Friday!" No I don't think so. But it is a Good Friday, when we celebrate our being freed of sin. Anyway, keep the day sacred and celebrate with family on Sunday.

Chirst is risen! He is risen indeed!

For those of you who have been asking about how Alex is doing.

The answer is I don't know. I have called him many times in the last several months and if I got an answer at his house it was his mother. I have left messages and have asked her to have him call me but he has not. I have invited him here to become a posting member at this blog but he has not responded. I have not seem him since Christmas. He promised a couple of times to show up at church but has backed out on those occations.

It is very disappointing for a son to ignore you when you reach out for him. I do not know if he is getting the messages and purposely ignoring me or if he does not get them. Imagine if you had billions of children who would not answer your calls. That must be how God feels.

I do know that his email address is akin42@yahoo.com and that he does read it occationally.

Bill here

And he is proud of his little sister for figuring out how to do this.

BTW I should have told you that after you read this and you want to post a response you can click on the Blogger logo that is now at the bottom of the page (maybe I should move it). This will take you to the Blogger sign in so you can post (but you have to have already accepted the invitation to join).

For those of you interested in Trace's whereabouts I have a link to the Tallil Airbase Newsletter here. He is stationed in Iraq near the new hotbed in An Nasiriyah.

You can email him at Lambert Trace L A1C 407 AEG/43 EECS [mailto:trace.lambert@tlab.aorcentaf.af.mil]. Don't be dissapointed if his reply is rather short. He gets very limited time on the Internet so he just gives quick responses.

Welocme all!

...espcially the Lamberts Polaceks and Dwyers and associated people!

I have created this blog so that we can have a format to stay in touch, to share ideas and love and pictures, and to make sure we support each other even though the miles seperate us. It is my fervert hope that we all post here and keep it current.
This is a special kind of website that allows people who are members to post here. (But anyone can read it. Of course they need to know it is here.)

Here is how you do it.

In order to post on this site you have to be a "member". I will send invitations to John, Carolyn, Joanne, Alex, Trace and Jay, because that is all the email addresses I have. Please reply to the invitation and set up an account. It will cost nothing.
If you will please give me email address for the rest of the people that should be allowed to post then that will be helpful. This will work best if we all can post here. You can send them to me here -> lpd@billlambert.com and I will invite them also.
That gets you the right to post, but now you need to know how.

You can get fancy here with a lot of HTML if you want but you do not need to. This Blogger thing makes it pretty easy to post here. You go to www.blogger.com , sign in, select the blog and you are pre. You can type in what you have to say in the New Post section. There are buttons for the spell checker, bold, italics, creating hyperlinks and posting there if you want to do those sort of things.
But an easier way to do it is to create your post in Word or something like that then copy and paste it there.
Either way, when you are happy with it then you can click the Post button to see how it looks. You can go back and edit it if you need to. When you are happy then click the PUBLISH button on the lower half to make it go out onto the web. Postings do not show up on the web till they are posted.

Anyway I encourage you to post here, it is a way that we can all keep in touch, and it really is easier than posting a bunch of emails. Let me know.

I love you all and wish we could get together more often.
