Butt Honking

The horn on Jeremy's Dad's truck is hard to push so he has learned to honk it by using his behind. He was trying it here on my car. And showing off his new glasses and spikey hair cut.

I have been absent...

There seems be be a resurgence of the family blog, and I'd like to participate! I just don't know if I can keep up with the intensity...I don't have that profound of thoughts or that witty of comments. But I'm here just the same. When I think of something exciting, I'll try to post the pic of the "yellow ribbon" celebration yesterday at PBIA for Jay.

I'm a little confused...

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight.....

If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're "exotic, different."

Growing up in Alaska eating mooseburgers and going aerial shooting for wolves in the winter; a quintessential American story.

If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.

Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well grounded.

If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking executive.

If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.

If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a Christian.

If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you're very responsible.

If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America's.

If your husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA , your family is extremely admirable.

OK, much clearer now.

How can we proclaim that God exists

How can we proclaim that God exists
and then live life like he dosen't ?

Shouldn't we be the happyest bunch of mother Jonah's on this here planet? Shouldn't we tell those who are hellbound about Jesus? If God himself came back here to earth to try to save us all we should have Christmas every day! That's right I said came back. After all he used to hang with Adam & Eve right? Then he distanced himself cause of he hates being around sin. Then he gave us the law which we had to be perfect to do (and he knew that) so since he is the only perfect one he came back and showed us how. Then became the ultimet sacrifice(Isaiah 53).
Isaiah 43;14
This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
"For your sake I will send to Babylon
and bring down as fugitives all the Babylonians, [b]
in the ships in which they took pride.
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One,
Israel's Creator, your King."

16 This is what the LORD says—
he who made a way through the sea,
a path through the mighty waters,

17 who drew out the chariots and horses,
the army and reinforcements together,
and they lay there, never to rise again,
extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:

18 "Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.

19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 45;7

I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the LORD, do all these things.

8 "You heavens above, rain down righteousness;
let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
let salvation spring up,
let righteousness grow with it;
I, the LORD, have created it.

9 "Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker,
to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground.
Does the clay say to the potter,
'What are you making?'
Does your work say,
'He has no hands'?

10 Woe to him who says to his father,
'What have you begotten?'
or to his mother,
'What have you brought to birth?'

11 "This is what the LORD says—
the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker:
Concerning things to come,
do you question me about my children,
or give me orders about the work of my hands?

12 It is I who made the earth
and created mankind upon it.
My own hands stretched out the heavens;
I marshaled their starry hosts.

13 I will raise up Cyrus [b] in my righteousness:
I will make all his ways straight.
He will rebuild my city
and set my exiles free,
but not for a price or reward,
says the LORD Almighty."

14 This is what the LORD says:
"The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, [c]
and those tall Sabeans—
they will come over to you
and will be yours;
they will trudge behind you,
coming over to you in chains.
They will bow down before you
and plead with you, saying,
'Surely God is with you, and there is no other;
there is no other god.' "

15 Truly you are a God who hides himself,
O God and Savior of Israel.

16 All the makers of idols will be put to shame and disgraced;
they will go off into disgrace together.

17 But Israel will be saved by the LORD
with an everlasting salvation;
you will never be put to shame or disgraced,
to ages everlasting.

18 For this is what the LORD says—
he who created the heavens,
he is God;
he who fashioned and made the earth,
he founded it;
he did not create it to be empty,
but formed it to be inhabited—
he says:
"I am the LORD,
and there is no other.

19 I have not spoken in secret,
from somewhere in a land of darkness;
I have not said to Jacob's descendants,
'Seek me in vain.'
I, the LORD, speak the truth;
I declare what is right.

20 "Gather together and come;
assemble, you fugitives from the nations.
Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood,
who pray to gods that cannot save.

21 Declare what is to be, present it—
let them take counsel together.
Who foretold this long ago,
who declared it from the distant past?
Was it not I, the LORD ?
And there is no God apart from me,
a righteous God and a Savior;
there is none but me.

22 "Turn to me and be saved,
all you ends of the earth;
for I am God, and there is no other.

23 By myself I have sworn,
my mouth has uttered in all integrity
a word that will not be revoked:
Before me every knee will bow;
by me every tongue will swear.

24 They will say of me, 'In the LORD alone
are righteousness and strength.' "
All who have raged against him
will come to him and be put to shame.

25 But in the LORD all the descendants of Israel
will be found righteous and will exult.

Dude go back into Isisah a few books sooner and you can hear Jesus shout " so that you will know it is I. I am,,,,, and so that they will know it is me...
I used to read Isaiah like it was from God the Father talking but now I can hear Jesus. He says there is only one God... Get it? WOW

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin, I understand that you are a proponent of only abstinence based sex education. How is that working out for you?

I am all for teen-aged children not having sex. But some of them do. Especially ones whose father is off working the oil fields and whose mother is very busy running a large state with a small population.

And how about abstinence for women over 43? Or other forms of birth control? Do you know there is a 1 in 100 chance of having a child with down's syndrome for women at age 40, and a 1 in 30 chance for women at age 45 (link here). I am not opposed to people with down's syndrome, they are loving people and can near normal lives but they have many additional health risks including heart defects, intestinal defects, vision problems, hearing problems, thyroid problems, frequent infections, leukemia, and seizures. Modern science has helped these people and they now have an average life expectancy of 55. But why would you want to take a chance on thing such as this?

Please note that I am not saying anything about Mrs. Palin's children, these are the choices of their mother, not theirs, that I am discussing.

Is it possible that John McCain did what he is known to do often? Make a sudden and emotional choice without looking at all the details?
